The Church’s efforts in the social transformation of the society, especially in the areas of Democracy and Governance, Human Rights, Sustainable Rural Development, Environmental Education and Action, Preventive Health Awareness (HIV/AIDS), Women Empowerment, Youth Development, Promotion of Social Justice, Peace Building, as well as Conflict Resolution and Management, are effected through this department.

RUDEP

The Rural Development Programme (RUDEP) is an initiative of the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo, which was developed to assist the rural dwellers in selected rural communities in the geographical coverage of the Diocese.

JUSTICE & HUMAN RIGHTS

Human Rights can be defined as the bundle of rights inherent to mankind as a being. These rights are often referred to as natural rights of Fundamental Rights.

DEMOCRACY & GOOD GOVERNANCE

Democracy and Good Governance Department gives political and civic education to the general public and monitors all democratic processes with a view to promoting good governance, democratic values as well as ensuring active participation of the masses.

INTEGRAL HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

Entrepreneurship Development Programme aims at drastically reducing the economic impoverishment of our people by providing information for action on small scale enterprises so that they can meaningfully participate in their own development.
