Health Matter: JDPMC sets to track Rehabilitation of 332 PHCs and 5 General hospitals across the 30 LGAs of the State by the Osun Government.
All was now set for the Department of Democracy and Good Governance under auspices of the Justice Development and Peace Makers’ Centre of Osogbo to monitor the level of work-done by the Osun State Government led by Governor Isiaka Oyetola on its on-going Rehabilitation and Revitalisation of three hundred and thirty-two (332) PHCs and five (5) General hospitals across the thirty (30) LGAs in the state.
The Programme Supervisor of the Department, Mr. Festus Ojewumi disclosed this on a live weekly Programme tagged ‘Idagba So’ke’ on the frequency modulation of 104.5 fm of the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, Ile-Awiye, Oke-Baale in Osogbo.
Responding to the questions from the Segun Makinde, an ace Broadcast Journalist, Mr.Ojewumi stressed that the motive behind the monitoring exercise by their organization’s team was not politically motivated or to witch-hunt the Government of the day but rather to strengthen the footing of Democracy in the Nigeria’s political space. Most importantly, to raise the bar of good Governance and quality control in service delivery.
According to him “An immense project of human’s relevance like this deserves best and close surveillance in order to enhance quality service delivery by all stakeholders involved in the State which is the approach we are taking and of course a goal hopes to achieve”
He stated that their team has been able to pay an unscheduled visit to handful of local Governments out of all and stressed that efforts met on ground were commendable.
He however raised an eye-brow against the indifferent attitude of the members of the beneficial Communities while charging them to be proactive in the service to humanity and better growth of Democracy. The programme also afforded audience participation whereby people waded in their views and stands on the on-going project.
