As part of the efforts to protect children’s right and promote decent upbringing of Vulnerable children within Osun State communities, the Integrated Human Development of Justice Development and Peace Makers’ Centre Osogbo in collaboration with Kindermission werk, has trained One hundred primary care givers of vulnerable Children on small business management after which they were empowered with monetary grants as a form of revolving fund within the different targeted Local Government Areas.
Addressing the Care givers during the empowerment programme, Mr. Dare Adeoye stated that over the years, proper Accountability and good capital management have been generally established as tested and trusted factors needed for any Business be it Large Scale or Small Scale to thrive. He added that it is a core value which must be strictly adhered to in order to achieve the goals of the program.
“Proper Accountability and Capital Management are the major life blood of any thriving business; it is not optional but rather a function of priority. Essentially, you must keep proper records of your business activities and learn basic principles of separating the profits from the capital. These are essential for your business to grow” he stated.
Speaking further, Adeoye stressed the reasons for the participants to develop good attitude towards their business because good attitude would give the beneficiaries a good competitive advantage in the business world.
“At this juncture, I need to emphasize that you should develop good attitude with your business, If you must stay relevant and remain on the business roadmap, it is very critical you come up with workable strategies laced with unique selling attributes,” Adeoye affirmed.
Corroborating, the Programme Supervisor of the Integrated Human Development, Mrs. Juliet Akande and the Programme officer Mrs. Damilola Arowolo noted that the empowerment process which was tagged “Revolving Scheme” was not borne out of display of wealth but the passion of JDPMC and the convictions of the donor in order for indigent children to live good lives as willed for them by God.
They admonished the Care givers/Parents to maximise the technical support received at the training by always ensuring that the best interest of the children become their priorities, with this, it can be said that about 100 children have been saved from poverty and vulnerabilities.
In their response on behalf of other beneficiaries Mr.kareem Muideen and Mrs. Olaoye expressed their Joy and commended Justice Development and Peace Makers’ Centre of Diocese of Osogbo in collaboration with KINDERMISSIONWORK, for hands of help extended to their Families and promised to justify the confidence reposed in them by using the Revolving Fund for the purpose it is meant for.
